Yes, this is a real, and functional Corsair, in half scale.  The sign at the front of the display reads:  "Although fully flight capable, this particular airplane was never flown.  Mr Smith donated this aircraft for the public to see.  He stated she was to honor the men and women who designed, tested, and manufactured this aircraft and to the memory of those who flew her to protect the freedom of the United States."
