Unexpected signs of life.

Amidst the dead leaves of winter...
Shades of glory revealed.

    1. I think it is some sort of decorative cherry shrub, our at least that was what a prior neighbor said. Anyway, the deep winter is when it blooms and is beautiful, but the rest of the year it is just plumb ugly.

    1. The flowering shrub blooms in deep winter always, but I don't know exactly what it is. The stray daffodils are up too early because they're in pots and the soil warmed too soon.
